How to Complete a Work Order and Job


TRANSCRIBE INFORMATION FROM THE COMPLETED WO

Note: The information is recorded on the Work Docket Return [WDR]. There are several methods and pathways available to access the WDR - these are dependant upon how the individual Administrator wishes to work.
A WDR can be accessed directly from:
[1] from the Job Scheduler [JSCH] - do a FS for the Job, highlight the WO row of the Job then press the 'WDR' button; and
[2] from the Work Tracking List [WTL][more...about Work Tracking List] - do a FS for the WO, highlight the WO & then ???TBA

  • 1. How to record information from the completed Work Docket Return [WDR]...
    On the WDR:
    1.1. Press the 'A' button beside 'Work Done By';
    Note: this will auto-fill the WDR with the name of the person who was assigned. If a different person actually performed the work, press the 'abc' button to choose from a LOV.
    1.2. Type up all details to reflect what was written on the WDR;
    1.3. Check the 'Completed' checkbox if the work has been completed;
    1.4. Check the 'Issues for Resolution' checkbox if any issues were unable to be resolved during the work and type up what those issues were;
    1.5. Check the 'Resolved' checkbox where thee were issues that were resolved and type up what those issues were.
    Note: If there are a combination of resolved and unresolved issues, check both boxes.
    1.6. Press 'Save' to save the information.
    Note: This completes the WDR. However, the Work Quality Return would probably already have been filled in, so this can be entered immediately.

    2. How to record information from the Work Quality Return [WQR]...
    On the WDR / WQR:
    2.1. Press the 'Reviewer' button;
    2.2. From the LoV, select the person who reviewed the quality of the work;
    2.3. Check the checkboxes for work timeframe and quality (if they were satisfactory);
    2.4. Enter a Score (if required by your business) [more... about WQR Scoring];
    2.5. Enter any notes;
    2.6. Enter the Date the information was provided on;
    2.7. Check the 'All WQR Data entered' checkbox;
    2.8. Press 'Save'.

    3. How to complete the Job (immediately)...
    Note: If you are still on the WDR, and you know that there are no other WO's to be completed, the job can be completed and archived before closing this form.
    On WDR:
    3.1. R-Click the 'S' button (on the left hand bar);
    3.2. Select the most appropriate option:

  • 'Set WO as Complete' (if there are other things to be done prior to completing the Job)

  • 'Set WO as Complete and Finalise & Archive the Job'.
    3.3. Select the 'Done' button to close the form.

    4. How to Change the Job Status ...
    Note: There are various reasons to need to change the Job status:

  • to complete a Job at some point in time after the WDR has been completed;

  • to end a Job by finalising it, cancelling it or terminating it.
    On JSCH
    3.1 Find the Job and access the JCS;
    3.2. R-Click on the 'End' button and select the appropriate option [more...about ending a Job].

    5. How to Archive a Job ...
    Note:
    On JSCH
    5.1. Find the Job and access the JCS;
    5.2. R-Click on the 'End' button
    5.3. Select 'Archive';
    5.4. Press 'OK'.

    The WO and Job have now been completed and are stored as the historical record of work done.
