Results from Productivity Rostering - Motivate Staff  

There are 3 main ways in which the Compass Business Suite has been designed to benefit its users:

1. Work Preferences
By allowing individuals to specify preferences about their working conditions. These preferences are then considered, along with other factors, when the rosters are created. Individuals can specify preferred times of the day or night for their shifts, preferred service areas, and can even request who they work with (or do not want to work with).

2. Exchange of Ideas/Information/Communications
By enabling all individuals within the enterprise to submit ideas, information and communications to any area of the property, and receive a response via the Compass Business Suite, from that area. Staff are provided with the opportunity to give their ideas about marketing events, and their feedback about anything that has occured, or is going to occur within the enterprise.

3. Career Progression
By providing the mechanism and encouragement for career progression through multi-skilling and rostering of on-the-job training sessions during times that learning is most likely to occur. The Career Planning business process enables staff to see what they have to do to qualify for any role within the organization, and provides them with continual feedback about whether or not they hold the Capabilities to fulfill a certain role.

In this way, Compass Business Suite helps to make the whole management system and the HR function much more transparent to each staff member. This, in turn, makes for a happier and less threatening workplace, in general.
