CBS allows you to cost your Work Schedules, Alternative Roster Solutions, Rosters and Timesheets.

Roster Costing uses parameters to calculate the cost of each FLURR in the Schedule, Roster Solution, Roster, Timesheet, etc.

The calculation algorithm, looks for the applicable RC Parameter from an ordered list which has been specified by the User. This approach makes it easy for each business user to get meaningful and reliable results in their reports which are then directly comparable with each other.

The principle to use is to put the most specific RC Parameters first and the most general last. For example, you could create a RC Parameter for a particular person (who is a member of your staff) and rank it higher than the RC Parameter for their EBA Staff Category. This means that the cost of FLURRs to which they are assigned would be calculated at their specific rate, whereas FLURRs with other staff assigned would be costed using the general EBA Staff Category rate.
