Essential Safety Audit

Essential Safety Audit

An important feature of using CBS for managing essential safety processes, is the advanced functionality for managing all aspects of the Essential Safety Audit.

Building surveyors typically carry out audits of the essential safety inspections and remedial work. This can be a laborious and time-consuming job, using highly qualified personnel to ensure the legislative requirements under all Australian States and Territories are being constantly met.

Many businesses are still coming to grips with how they will satisfy the requirements and are only now starting to count the cost of doing so.

CBS assists the auditor by bringing together all the work orders that need to be audited, and presenting the Work Docket Returns and other documentation at the auditor's fingertips. This means that the audit may limit the amount of time and cost incurred for site visits and meetings with managers.

CBS also keeps detailed audit records so they are readily recovered and where needed, and / or summarised for audit management review and senior management review.

The audit manager can track the course of the audit work and the results on each property as they are done. Audit records build up from Audit Notes on Audit Sheets, contained in an Audit Sleeve for each work job. In turn, these build together into Audit Conclusions relating to each Asset / Facility / Safety Measure, and form the support for the ultimate annual audit opinion that is issued to the client business.

The multi-user and collaborative nature of how CBS is designed makes it much easier for the auditor to carry out their work in an effective, efficient and transparent manner.
