Users access data and exchange information through front-end screens which have been developed in Oracle Forms6i Release 2, by way of client/server Oracle applications. The client is typically a Windows-based machine.
Each user profile determines the access privileges. Broadly speaking, users fall into one of two categories. They are either "on-floor" or "off-floor" users. Rosterable staff use the on-floor technologies. Management and administrative personnel gain access to purpose-specific forms, via one or more sub-portals and consoles, specifically designed for their role(s).
Users interface with the system from all over the enterprise directly into the Oracle 9i database using a Windows platform and obtain information and interactive feedback via on-screen, printed and flat-file generated reports.
Core technologies include CBS CORRIDOR™, CBS Profiler, CBS Files, SECAs, CBS Engines and CBS Contacts. In most cases, the business functionality of the system is drawn from one or more of these technologies.
