This page provides detailed information about our CBS Web Server model.

As an alternative to the CBS LAN model, Compass Commercial Australia (CCA) now offers the Compass Business Suite (CBS) in an Web Server model. Web Server is an innovative, secure software delivery approach, where you access CBS using your web browser. Which means, you no longer have to install the software on your server or local area network. The Web Server solution eliminates the need for (and cost of) on-site database installation and upgrades, as well as the normal rigour of technical backup, recovery and maintenance services. There are simply none of the usual initial or on-going payback risks.

And ... because we can handle virtually all necessary technical installation and support services by phone or on-line, this new Web Server technology substantially reduces our costs of delivery. Accordingly, we pass that saving onto our customers by offering lower cost Web Server pricing plans.

All you need is a username and password set up especially for you, and you're connected to our database through your normal internet access using your web browser. You can start using CBS straight away, no waiting and no lead time. Under our high standard service level agreement you can be assured of better reliability too!

So not only do you save on the cost of installation and maintenance, and get a lower cost rental plan, but there is also no lead time, no payback risk and better reliability.

Under the WEb Server model, CCA offers two types of "Flexi" rental plans. The first is based on the number of users; the other is based on the number of transactions. Both "Flexi" plans include free basic User and Technical support. Please speak to one of our account managers to discuss the details of our base monthly rental charges.

The Flexi-User Plan allows you to pay a base monthly cost for a standard number of users of each application module you want to use, and a small extra monthly charge for each additional user.

The Flexi-Transaction Plan allows you to pay a base monthly cost for a standard number of transactions for each application module you want to use, and a small extra charge for each thousand transactions thereafter.

Apart from the monthly rental charges, there is no more to pay. And you get free technical support as well as all software upgrades. The following model comparison table shows the difference between the LAN and ASP models and the two Flexi plans.
